📦 Getting it home
- Flying? Olive oil, vinegar, sauces and hot sauce are liquids, so anything over 3.4 ounces goes in your checked bag. TSA liquids rule
- Buying something big or fragile? Ask the shop whether they can ship it before you pay. Olive Oil Outpost sells online, so you can reorder from home.
- Wrap shells in a sock or tissue and pack them in a hard container in the middle of your suitcase.
- Only take empty shells from the beach. Anything with a live animal inside stays put.
- Rinse shells and let them dry fully before packing so your bag doesn't come home smelling like low tide.
