  • Anna Maria: pool, spa and hot tub quiet hours are 10pm to 8am, and noise rules are enforced with fines. source
  • Holmes Beach: the noise limit drops at 10pm until 7am. A first citation can be $75 for short term visitors. source

Turtle season, May 1 to October 31

  • Sea turtle season runs May 1 to October 31. Lights that shine on the beach aren't allowed. source
  • Close the blinds and switch off outside lights facing the Gulf at night. Code officers say visitors are the ones who forget. source
  • Walking the beach at night? Use an amber or red light, not a white flashlight or phone light. source
  • Take chairs, toys and trash off the beach every day, and fill in any holes you dig. source

On the beach

  • No dogs, no glass and no alcohol on the beach. source
